    Jewelers rarely buy such items unless they are spectacular, and pawn brokers give you only a small percentage of their worth. I suggest you try selling it in your local newspaper.

    I agree with the answerer above, neither will net you top dollar. You may try listing it on an online auction service or craigslist or put it on consignment to get the best price for it.

    Call around to different jewelry shops and find one that is willing to look at an outside appraisal or receipt. They will be less likely to rip you off. If you are looking for fast money it’s very unlikely that you will get a great deal on it though. People pay very little for scrap metal.
