    no. when they tell you they are going to dip the ring they aren’t actually going to dip it in molten metal..hehehehe….the rhodium is a chemical element, they run electric current through the liquid and attach a electrode to your ring and dip it in. the rhodium jumps from the liquid and electroplates onto the metal in your ring. the stones are not affected. it takes no longer than 30 seconds usually and there it is, plated in rhodium.
