Take it to different jewelers that you have in mind and ask them. I suppose it would depend on how detailed the design is.

My fiance is getting a custom made wedding band, and the jeweler we spoke with does not do his own custom work, he takes the order and sends it out of shop to another wholesale jeweler. It might take longer for your daughter’s ring if you have to factor in shipping.

If the ring won’t be there in time, have her use your ring during the ceremony (then its still family) and after the ring comes in, have your daughter and son-in-law, and his parents, over for dinner and make an event of putting on the new ring.

Yes, if they are not booked completely up- they should be able to do it. Everyone wants a sale these day- go now!!

Mine took a few weeks. I will caution you, jewelery manufacturers close down right after Christmas for a few weeks. We were concerned because we were getting married in February and it was November when we ordered the ring.

I think you should count yourself as very lucky if you can accomplish this in 3 weeks.

with christmas this close there is no way it will be done in time. what the jeweler has to do is first make a wax mold of it. he’ll then show you the mold to make sure thats what you want. the whole process normally takes at least 6 weeks, you have to think that normally its all hand carved, and they have to set and mount the diamonds, and also order the diamonds from a vendor which can take anywhere from a few days to a week or two. i wouldn’t try to rush the jeweler. doing that you’ll just **** him off and you want him to take his time to make sure that everything is perfect. if you rush him and its not perfect than you won’t be happy with it.
