Yes, most jewellers do seem to recognise fake and real ones as soon as they see it because they have been in that business and have been dealing with jewels for a long time. All jewellers sell jewellery. Whether they make jewellery/repair it depends on each individual jewellery store owner.

The jeweler uselly just sells and repairs it. I took my diamond ring to a jeweler to get it repaired. I got it back with fake diamonds. Hope that helps
