I’m not sure how much it costs but almost any jeweler can do it. I had one done before. Here’s a tip though. Instead of buying the replacment stone from a jeweler order it from one of the gemtv stations. They have loose stones for inexpensive prices so you don’t pay double later.

If the ring is a good quality ring (made of gold or sterling silver), just about any jewelry store can change it to a new stone. If it is a piece of inexpensive costume jewelry, most jewelers will tell you that it would cost more than the ring is worth.

What kind of new blue stone do you want? If you want a blue diamond, it’s going to be quite expensive ;-) , if you want a dark sapphire or a blue topaz it’s not going to be expensive, if you want a blue crystal it’s going to be even less expensive. You see – not enough information for us to answer your question. I would only go out and buy the stone myself if you have means to accurately measure the diameter of the stone needed. I would go to a jeweler first and see what they think.
